Of Battle Creek Passed away September 28, 2012 at the age of 85. He was born December 13, 1926 in Charleston Twp., Michigan to the late Gordon and Fern Francisco Book. He was united in marriage to Dorothy Klon on December 13, 1947, for 65 years together. Dorothy survives. Also surviving Charles are his children, Gordon Laura Book, Dennis Book, Nancy Dan Slager and Suann Charles Newman; 6 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; brother Eugene Donna Book; sisters, Louise VonHount and Deanna Elliot; and several nieces and nephews. Also preceding Charles in death were a grandson, Robert Book; sister, Maxine Harback; and brother, Leon Book. Family will greet friends on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Climax Chapel, 205 East Maple St., where services will take place on Thursday at 11:30.
