Of Kalamazoo Passed away Tuesday morning, November 13, 2012. Charles was born June 13, 1930 in Kalamazoo the son of Frank and Donna Fox Beardsley. He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army. Charles was a truck driver with Be-Mo Potato Chips and then retired after 20 years with General Motors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and bocce ball. Charles participated in the Senior Olympics in Arizona and won a medal in the bocce ball competition. On December 27, 1953 he was united in marriage to his loving wife Beverly of nearly 60 years, who survives. Also surviving are his daughter, Bonnie Harold Adkins; step-daughter, Brenda Coe; 5 grandchildren, Amy, Jeff, Donald, Ben, Emily; several great-grandchildren; half-sisters, Helen and Janet; and several nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation. Graveside services will be held at 1:30 pm on Friday, November 16 at Ft. Custer National Cemetery with full military honors meet in assembly area at 1:20.
