ALLEN, Charles Edward Of Climax, MI Charles passed away so very peacefully with his big family at his side, on Sunday afternoon, October 11, 2009. He was born September 7, 1934 in Muskegon, MI to Russell D. and Whilhelmina J. Kriesen Allen. He was employed by Allied Paper Co. for over 15 years until his retirement. He loved to Hunt and could grow anything in his garden. He loved to watch Nascar and Wrestling and his favorite drink... PBR. He always had a cold one for you too. He would always help you if you needed him. He will be missed so much... by so many. He married Florence Gertrude Peirce on July 27, 1954, who survives. Also surviving are their four children, Jack Sheila Allen, Steven Wendy Allen, Pamela Jack Peckham, Patricia James McClough Harger; eight grandchildren, Sarah, Julie, Avis, Kady, Chaz, Laci, Elizabeth and Justin; seven great-grandchildren; 3 brothers, Mike Kay Allen, Wayne Janette Allen, and Gary Martha Allen; several nieces and nephews; and his special friends, Marty Reschner, Les Selbee, Jeff Sutherland and Bob Cook. Preceding him in death were his parents, Russell Allen and Minnie Worden; one brother, Russell Allen; and one sister, Betty Bleeker. He leaves behind so many memories with so many people. Funeral services for Charlie will be at 1:00 PM on Friday at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Climax Chapel, 205 E. Maple Street, with his brother, Pastor Mike Allen officiating. Interment will follow in Prairie Home Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 4-7 PM on Thursday at the funeral home.
