SOULE DOORLAG, Charlene F.
of Galesburg, Michigan Passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2012. Charlene was born April 17, 1942 in Battle Creek, a daughter of Henry E. and Bernice J. Lanphear Stratton and lived in the Galesburg area for many years. For over 22 years, Charlene worked for the City of Kalamazoo as the Traffic Criminal Supervisor for the 9-1 District Court. In her spare time, she loved camping, bowling, her grandchildren, dancing and dogs. She was also a fanatic fan of the University of Michigan, loved NASCAR racing and attending her grandkids sporting events. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Lloyd Doorlag; her second husband, Donald Soule; and two sisters, Shirley Grimm and Beverly Smith. Charlene is survived by her children, Donald Diane Doorlag of Galesburg, David Micheline Doorlag of Parchment, Kristine Feathers of Parchment and Jeffrey Sarah Doorlag of Richland; 9 grandchildren, Adam Doorlag, Andrya Doorlag, Tony Feathers, Charlyn Feathers, Bryce Doorlag, Anna Doorlag, Hayden Doorlag, Alyssa Doorlag and Richard Doorlag; a step-sister, Michele McLaughlin; and her special dog, Bubba. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 AM in the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St. with Mr. John Terry officiating. A visitation will be held on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM in the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Galesburg Chapel, 145 W. Battle Creek St. Please note different locations. Interment will take place in Mt. Ever-Rest, South.
