MARVIN, Catherine D.
Of Comstock, Michigan Went home to be with her Lord on Thursday October 30, 2008 at her residence with her family by her side. Catherine was born December 6, 1915 in Iron River, WI, the daughter of Abraham and Caroline ShallowTharge and had lived in the Comstock area for most of her life. She was a member of Bethany Reformed Church and was active with the Comstock Seniors. She was preceded in death by her first husband Clarence Turner, by her second husband Jerry Marvin and by several brothers and sisters. Surviving are 4 children, Robert Sheryl Turner of Ocala, FL, Kay Ted Todd of Ann Arbor and Naples, FL, Edward Linda Turner of Chicago and Judy Richard VanOosterum of Kalamazoo; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Josephine Tharge and June Barton, both of Superior, WI; 2 sisters-
in-law, Frances Tharge of Kalamazoo and LaVern Tharge of Chicago; several nieces and nephews. Private graveside services will be held at Maple Grove Cemetery in Comstock Township followed by a memorial service on Monday at 11:00 o'clock at Bethany Reformed Church, 1833 S. Burdick St. with the Rev. Dr. Robert Terwilliger officiating. Friends may meet the family on Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Comstock Chapel, 6121 King Highway. Memorial contributions in Catherine's memory may be made to Bethany Reformed Church, Borgess Hospice Service or the Shephard's Center.
