REED, Mrs. Catharine R.
Portage, Michigan Died Tuesday morning December 9, 2008. Catharine was born January 11, 1924 in Hopkins, Michigan a daughter of Leon and Rose Siebel Wrobleski. She had been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident and was employed with Vanderberg Upholsters for many years before retiring in 1986. Years ago, she worked at the American Beauty College. She was also a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church; Portage Moose Lodge; and the Portage Senior Center. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald C. Reed on December 20, 2007; 3 brothers, Hubert, Louis, and Paul Wrobleski; 3 sisters, Marian Wilbur, Leona Horvath, and Dorothy Diein; and a nephew, Wayne Wrobleski. She is survived by a brother, Joseph Wrobleski of Canton, MI; nieces and nephews, Paula Wrobleski-Knight of Alamo, Judy Wrobleski and Rose Wrobleski both of Plainwell, Terri Wrobleski of Wayland; many other nieces and nephews; and 4 grandchildren. A Funeral Mass will be held 1:30 Saturday at the St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 1150 W. Centre Ave. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8pm Friday at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre Ave. Interment will be in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery.
