Carolyn was born in Adrian, MI on June 14, 1940 to John and Winifred Ruesink.
Carolyn was a devoted fiber artist with long-time affiliations to the Weavers Guild and Spinners Guild. She created many amazing pieces that she wore, gifted, and sold. In recent years she especially enjoyed making beautiful lace shawls. She also enjoyed creating unique jewelry and did well in her sales at local events. She has always loved the art of cooking. Cooking for and with others was one of her favorite things to do. She found so much happiness and joy in gathering people for an elaborate meal. Her culinary accomplishments included winning many cooking competitions. She had a passion for antiquing and loved discovering timeless treasures. She played piano and loved music.
Carolyn is survived by her son, Ash (Molly) Snyder of Holland, MI, daughter Lori (Collin Craig) of Oak Park, IL; Grandchildren Nate Snyder, Clyde Snyder, and Sophie Larratt; siblings Elinor Frost, Kathy Kaufman and Dan (Mary) Ruesink; many nieces and nephews and several dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Winifred Ruesink and sister Joanne.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
