Of Kalamazoo Passed away Wednesday morning, January 19, 2011in Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo, MI. Carolyn was born in Goodrich, Michigan on August 8, 1928.She resided at Park Village Pines in Kalamazoo Michigan. Carolyn lived for many years in Kalamazoo and in Delton, Michigan. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Therald O. Green and Alice May Green, and her husband of 37 and a half years, Glenn J. Fisher.She was also preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Theresa and Paul Hubbard; nephew, Thomas Hubbard, and brother and sister-in-law, T.O. and Peggy Green. Surviving is her daughter, Alice C. Fisher Aldag David; grandchildren, Rhiannon Steele-Aldag and Brandyn Aldag; great-grandson Shadow Beebe; sister, Rhea SaxtonNelson Barker; nieces, Nancy, Jacqueline, Patty, Stacey; nephews, Paul, Walter, Douglas, Matthew, and William; and her good friend Ruth Baas. Carolyn graduated from Flint Northern High School and Western Michigan University cum laude with a bachelors of science degree. She was employed by the Kalamazoo Health Department; the Upjohn Company as a medical technologist; and Heritage Hills as a dietary assistant. In addition, Carolyn helped to tutor many young people in the nursing program and in other medical studies. Carolyn enjoyed reading, nature, fishing, playing bingo, travel, watching football, doing the crossword puzzle in ink!, and dining out with friends and family. She will be interred in Fort Custer National Cemetery in Battle Creek, Michigan next to her husband in section F-188 on February 8, 2011 at 2:30. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Western Michigan University alumni fund. A celebration of her life will be held following the graveside service at 6:00 at Bob Evans, 5641 S.
