MUNSON, Carole J.
Of Kalamazoo Died January 20, 2011 at Borgess Hospital. Carole was born January 14, 1935 in Toledo, OH, a daughter of Bernard and Beulah May Maze Shoemaker and had lived in the Kalamazoo area since 1960. She was most recently employed at Hardings Market on West Main in the Deli Department. Carole's family was her enjoyment in life. She was a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grand and great grandmother and sister. Surviving is her loving husband of 49 years Vernon E. Munson, to whom she was married on January 25, 1962. Also surviving are 11 children, Dave Pam Munson, Denice BJ Cain, Mark Debbie Munson, Marc Billie Sugden, Mike Munson, Brian Munson, Debbie Joe Medena, Dawn Kevin Hart, Robert Judy Munson, Jeff Munson and Dwayne Shereen Munson; 20 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Donna Bob Cruse, Sonny Dolly Shoemaker, Pat Shoemaker, Bernard Shoemaker, Henry Shoemaker, Billy Shoemaker, Bonnie, Shoemaker, Darlene Shoemaker, April Shoemaker, Marcy Shoemaker and Merle Shoemaker; several nieces and nephews and her loving dog "Boomer". Services will be held at 10:30 am on Monday at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. 343-1508 with Pastor Patti Harpole of the LifeSpring Church officiating. Interment will follow at 12 Noon in Ft. Custer National Cemetery. Friends may meet the family Saturday evening tonite from 6-8 pm and on Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the funeral home. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Carole's name be made to the LifeSpring Church.
