LINT, Carole J.
Kalamazoo Mrs. Lint passed away Saturday evening, November 24, 2007 in the comfort of her family at home. She was born October 25, 1941 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of the late Ray and Florence Waldo Slater. She was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church in Comstock, and past-president of F.O.E. Aerie #526. Carole was employed by Western Michigan University for over 20 years until her retirement this past spring, 2007. On August 30, 1969, she was united in marriage to Lyle Daniel ?L.D.? Lint, who preceded her in death on December 4, 2005. Also preceding her in death are her parents; and one brother, Ray ?Bud? Slater. Surviving are five children, Danny Jackie Lint of Kalamazoo, Traci Bowers of Portage, Richard Cheryl Mellick of Georgia, Lyle Tammy Lint of Vicksburg, Trisha Duane Warnicke of Kalamazoo; several grand and great-grandchildren; her twin sister, Gayle Long of Kalamazoo; brothers, Boyd Yvonne Slater of Comstock, Frank Slater of Grand Rapids, Don Slater of Kalamazoo, and Tom Coughlin of Kalamazoo; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services for Carole will be at 10:30 AM on Friday at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick Street, with Rev. John Vick officiating. Interment will follow in Ft. Custer National Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM on Thursday tomorrow at the funeral home.
