Carol L. Hollinger

HOLLINGER, Carol L. Kalamazoo Died December 14, 2006 at her residence with her family by her side. Carol was born December 8, 1936 in Detroit, MI, the daughter of Ralph and Esther Rauschenberger Buckingham and had lived in Kalamazoo for the past 4 years. She previously resided in Sarasota, FL where she was employed for 14 years at the Wesco Turf Company. Carol was a member of the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. She was preceded in death by her husband C. E. ?Red? Hollinger in 2002 and by a son David Olson. Surviving are a son Kent Olson of Hagerstown, MD and a daughter Laurie Hollinger of Lansing; 6 grandchildren, Jacob Rachel Olson, Daniel Olson, Shawna Griffin-Bevier Corby, Caitlyn Griffin, David Griffin and Tracy Hipple; a brother Jerry Camille Buckingham of Estero, FL; 2 nieces, Susan Walker and Linda McAleer and their families. There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 o?clock on Friday, January 5, 2007 at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 1747 W. Milham with Pastor Paul Nuechterlein officiating. Private family graveside services will be held at Ft. Custer National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions in Carol?s memory be made to the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Hospice of Southwest Michigan or the Salvation Army.
