HAMMING, Carol VanderWeele Kalamazoo Passed away Sunday, January 7, 2007 at home in Kalamazoo. She was born November 3, 1934 in Kalamazoo, a daughter of the late Andy and Grace Vermeulen VanderWeele. She was a graduate of Kalamazoo Central High School in 1951. Carol was united in marriage on November 13, 1954 to Ray Hamming, who survives her. Carol was a long time member of the Third Reformed Church of Oshtemo, MI. A homemaker by choice, Carol?s love of her family was first and foremost. She also enjoyed gardening and loved doing arts and crafts. Also surviving Carol are 3 children and their spouses; Scott Wendy Hamming of Schoolcraft, Greg Bambi Hamming of Kalamazoo and Susan Rick Young of Kalamazoo; 5 grandchildren; sisters, Eleanor Carl Bussema, Mary Lou Drenth; brother, Robert Mary VanderWeele; sisters-in-law, Celia Wolthuis, Marlene Ralph Klooster, Darlene Hamming and many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were; sisters, Margurite Osterman, Betty Koning; brothers-in-law, Rene Wolthuis and Donald Hamming. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 10, 2007, from 2 ? 4:00 pm and 6 ? 8:00 pm, at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th Street, Kalamazoo, MI. Funeral services will take place at the Third Reformed Church Chapel, 11:00A.M., Thursday, January 11, 2007 with Rev. Dar VanderWal, officiating. Interment to follow at Fort Custer National Cemetery at 2:30 P.M.. Memorials may be directed in Carol?s name, to Hospice of S.W. Michigan.
