Carol L Haiduk

HAIDUK, Carol L. of Portage, MI Carol passed away March 5, 2009 at her residence. She was born May 16, 1944 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of the late William and Virginia Stevens Schreuder and was a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident. Carol was an avid bowler and was employed with Airway Lanes Bowling Center for 20 years, where she served as youth director and had coached youth bowling for many years. As a longtime member of the Kalamazoo Area Women's Bowling Association, she served over 30 years on the Kalamazoo Women's Bowling Association Board of Directors and is currently serving as First Vice President. In 2002, Carol was honored by being inducted into the Kalamazoo Women's Bowling Association Hall of Fame. Carol also enjoyed genealogy and scrapbooking. On April 16, 1966, she was united in marriage to Anthony J. Haiduk who preceded her in death on May 2, 2008. Surviving are her five children, Tony Lydia Haiduk, Jr. of Colorado Springs, CO, Tammie Chris Cassell of Hubert, NC, Laura Doug Decker of Sturgis, Cheri Ted Lopez of Adrian, MI and Joe Haiduk of South Bend, IN; 10 grandchildren, Elam, Zach and Rachel Haiduk, Cameryn, Tyler and Morgan Cassell, Adam and Reece Decker, and Austin and Branden Lopez; a brother, William Pat Schreuder of Port St. Lucie, FL; 2 sisters, Regina Collins of Texas and Sherry Bob Ledbetter of Port St. Lucie, FL; several aunt, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family will receive friends on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. where a service to celebrate Carol's life will be held on Tuesday, 11:00AM with Rev. James Dyke, officiating. Interment will follow in Ft. Custer National Cemetery.
