JACOBS, Cameron of Kalamazoo Passed away Thursday November 16, 2006. Cameron was born February 8, 1924 in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Wilbur and Bertha Dimmick Jacobs and has been a resident of this area most of his life. For many years he farmed in the Three Rivers, Marcellus and Schoolcraft areas and prior to his retirement was employed for 16 years as a custodian with Western Michigan University. He was a member of the Northeastern Baptist Church. On September 3, 1988 he was united in marriage to the former Laura Dann who survives. Also surviving are his children, Mike Judy Jacobs, Rhonda Ken Brown, Randy Sharon Jacobs and Bradley Karen Jacobs; grandchildren, Janelle Tom, Kristen Michael, Kenny, Dan; great-grandchildren, Katie, Sarah, Lindsay, Auston, Becca, Lillie, Cameron, Keegon; step-children, Gary Geneva Horrocks, Terri David Price, Mary Ken Brown, Sherry Mark Scott and Larry Horrocks; step grandchildren, Ben, Johanna, Katie, Annie, Sam, Tina Gary, Jeff, Heather Michael, Kim, Mike, Courtney, Todd, Hannah; step great-grandchildren, Jeremy, Nicholas, Kelsey, Justin, Matthew, Devlin, Hayden, Isabelle, Kailyn; a brother, Jack Jacobs. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am Saturday at the Northeastern Baptist Church, 6536 East G Ave. with Rev. George Coon officiating. Interment will follow in Grand Prairie Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6-8 pm at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th Street and Saturday from 10-11 am at the Northeastern Baptist Church. Memorials in Cameron?s memory may be directed to In-House Hospice or the Northeastern Baptist Church.
