Byron Delano Gray was born April 26, 1933, in Farmington, Missouri, the son of Leon and Anna Cox Gray and passed away November 8, 2010, in Kalamazoo, Michigan. For 20 years he served in the U.S. Air Force, retiring as a Tech Sgt. /Medic E-6; and for over 13 years delivered mail with B & B Trucking, retiring in 1995. Byron in his early years boxed with Golden Gloves in Kalamazoo; he also enjoyed fishing and hunting, but most of all loved spending time with his family. On November 5, 1986, he was united in marriage to Beulah Myrick, who survives. Also surviving are children, Elaine John Hernsberger of Austin, TX, Barney Beverly Gray of Vancouver, WA, Dennis Marcia Gray of Cornelius, OR; step-children, Daniel Pam Hoe of Elkhart, IL, Rhonda Lang of Kalamazoo, Michael Laura Hoe of Overton, NV; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In accordance with Byron's wishes there will be no visitation or service. A private family entombment will take place in Mt. Ever-Rest Mausoleum. Memorials in Byron's memory may be directed to Alzheimer Association. Arrangements by Langeland Family Funeral Homes.
