Burchie Mae Givans

GIVANS, Burchie Mae Of Kalamazoo Passed away Thursday, December 6, 2007. Mae was born September 7, 1930 in Decatur, Alabama the daughter of Archie and Vera Terry Roden. Mae enjoyed quilting, crocheting, cooking, her dog ?Chico?, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 6252. On May 21, 1955 she was united in marriage to her husband Carl who preceded her in death in 1981. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Anthony Givans; and 5 brothers and 4 sisters. Surviving are 4 children, Debbie Givans, Dwight Givans, Linda Henry Esman, Dale Sue Givans; 11 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, A.C. Jean Roden, Ben Joyce Givans; special sister-in-law, Joy Roden; and many nieces and nephews. Services will be held 2:00 o?clock Monday at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
