LAGO, Mr. Bruce G.
Kalamazoo, MI Died Saturday evening January 29, 2011 at his residence. Bruce was born May 12, 1947 in Flint, Michigan a son of Malcolm and Helen French Lago. During the Vietnam War, he served with the U. S. Army. He had been a Kalamazoo area resident most of his life and was a partner of Duo-Aire for many years before retiring. Bruce was also the commander of the V.F. W. #827. He was preceded in death by his parents. On September 9, 1966, he was united in marriage to Jane M. Watson Lago who survives. Also surviving, 2 sons, Jon Lago of Louisburg, NC and Patrick Melanie Lago of Washington, DC; 6 brothers and sisters, Garnet Grant Barkley of Courtland, OH, and Patricia Richard Bach, James Brenda Lago, Sarah McLeod, Susan Kevin Kelly, and Thomas Esther Lago all of Kalamazoo; and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 1o'clock Thursday from the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. Friends may meet the family 6-8pm Wednesday and one hour prior to the service at the chapel. Private burial will take place in Ft. Custer National Cemetery with full military honors at a later date.
