BARKER, Mr. Bruce W.
of Galesburg, Michigan Passed away Tuesday afternoon July 2, 2013 at Rose Arbor Hospice after a sudden four month illness of skin cancer. Bruce was born in Galesburg, Michigan on July 21, 1935 to Loyal and Ruby Barker and was a lifelong resident of the area. He was a graduate of Galesburg-Augusta High School in 1953. After graduation, Bruce served three years in the U.S. Air Force. He was employed as a Dispatcher in the trucking industry. Bruce's greatest enjoyment came from several trips to the casinos in Las Vegas and Laughlin, NV. Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and their husbands; Kathryn "Katie" Bob Meyers, Mary "Jeane" Eugene Mezo. One brother-in-law, Kenneth L. Kuehn. He is survived by his sister, Carolyn Barker Kuehn of Portage, MI; her daughters, Paula Mitchell and Patricia Noble; nieces and nephews, Gary Meyers, Richard Meyers, Susan Meyers Woerner, Janice Mezo Crittenden and Gene Mezo. Private graveside services were held in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the West Michigan Cancer Center.
