Bruce Allan Adams, 65, of Kalamazoo, passed away peacefully on December 28, 2023. He was born on August 10, 1958, in Kalamazoo, MI, to the late Donald and Alberta (Howard) Adams. Bruce lived in Kalamazoo his entire life, he graduated from Kalamazoo Central High School in 1976 and worked in the printing industry for over 40 years. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Donald Adams Jr., Sharon Goddard, and Jerry Adams. Bruce is survived by his children, Lucas (Amy) Adams, Molly (Eric) Adams-Johnson, and Hillary (Jacob) Bannasch; his grandchildren, Jaxson, Trevor, Madison, Emily, Ellie, Miles, and Brooks; his brother-in-law Ken Goddard; his nieces, Teresa Keith and Melissa (Eric) DeWitt; and many cousins, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Bruce loved many things, the Michigan Wolverines, hunting, football, old westerns, dogs, airshows, the U.P., camping, fishing, baseball, hockey, farmer’s markets, especially the tomatoes and sweet corn, root beer floats, goulash, shopping at Harding’s, and, most importantly, his family. He enjoyed hunting with Lucas, coaching and umpiring for his kids’ baseball and softball teams, and traveling to Ohio and Pennsylvania to visit family.
A visitation will be held at Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial & Cremation Services 411 E Centre Ave, Portage, MI 49002, on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, from 1-3pm, immediately followed by a memorial service. Family and friends will gather for light refreshments at Jac’s Cekola’s Pizza, 7638 S Westnedge Ave, Portage, MI 49002 from 4-7pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
