CONOR, Brian C., Master Sergeant, US Army, ret.
of Kalamazoo, Michigan Brian peacefully passed away Thursday morning, February 9, 2012. He was born January 13, 1928 in Kalamazoo, the son of Leo J. and Helen Wilson Conor. In 1946, Brian graduated from Galesburg MI High School. He was retired from the United States Army after serving 22 years. He served in Italy post WWII, during the Korean Conflict and 2 tours in Vietnam. In 1949, he was united in marriage to Mistica Beraldo of Trieste, Italy who preceded him in death in 2006. Brian spent his retirement years enjoying fishing, gardening and walking. He was an avid reader and loved history books and articles. Surviving are his two sons, Robert Rosemary Conor of Olympia, WA and David Patricia Conor of Paw Paw; five grandchildren, Erin Conor, Kevin Conor, Jeffery Mary Conor, Andrew DeBoer, Matthew Danielle DeBoer; four great-grandchildren, Drew DeBoer, Samantha DeBoer, Madison DeBoer, and Jade DeBoer; brother, Lee W. "Jack" Conor of Ft. Myers, FL; sister, Patricia Paul Hodapp of Santa Fe, NM; sister Jean Liotta Heisey of Chesterland, OH; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his wife, Mistica Conor; his parents; and two sisters, Ruth Boven and Camilla Semelsberger. Graveside services with full military honors for Brian will be at 10 AM on Monday, April 23, at Ft. Custer National Cemetery, 15501 Dickman Road, Augusta. Arrangements were entrusted to Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre Avenue.
