Brenda Ann Kemp

Passed away Thursday, June 20, 2019 at her residence. Brenda was born November 25, 1955 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Jackson) Lindner. Brenda is also preceded in death by her sister, Cathy Lindner, of Comstock, MI. A lifelong resident of Comstock, Brenda was employed for 21 years at Borgess Hospital before retiring to be a stay at home mother and grandmother. Brenda was a giving soul - she loved to help others in whatever way she could. She loved to spread joy to others, and especially enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren. Brenda also enjoyed fishing, having family cookouts, and just being at home with her family. On September 26, 1975, Brenda was united in marriage to her loving husband of 43 years, Arnold Kemp, who survives. Also surviving are her children: Lori (James) Kinney, Steve (Tara) Kemp, and Cody Kemp; 8 grandchildren: Buster, Hunter, Hayli, Bradley, Bella, Landon, Caden, and Shareese; and siblings: Patty (Bob) Ross, Dave (Cindy) Lindner, and Missi Lindner. A memorial service to celebrate Brenda's life will be held at 6:00 PM on Friday, July 12 at the Oakland Drive Christian Church, 7331 Oakland Drive, Portage, MI 49024, with Paul Stinnett officiating.
