DARLING, Brenda Kay Kean of Kalamazoo, Michigan Brenda went to be with the Lord when she passed away unexpectedly at Bronson Methodist Hospital on Tuesday June 19, 2012. Heaven needed another angel and took Brenda home. She was born to parents, Paul and Hazel Reshman Kean on June 26, 1959. When Brenda was born she looked like the Gerber baby only prettier!. She grew up in the Lawton area where she graduated from Lawton High School and attended KVCC. Brenda was very talented and could play piano and organ. She also played flute in her High School Band and had a beautiful singing voice. Surviving are her mother Hazel Kean; sisters, Paula McLemore, Kathy Richard Krocker, Sherry Orbach; brothers, Marshall Elfrieda Kean, Jon Paul Kean; her beloved daughter and son-in-law, Misty Kenny Massey; grandchildren, Celyna and Ciona Massey; uncle and aunt Jerry Reshman Bev and aunt Helen Kean VanStreain, many nieces, nephews and cousins who will also mourn her. Brenda left the many people who loved her much too soon, but now she has eternal peace. Her kind, loving heart and gentle spirit will be missed. Visitation will be Friday, June 22, 2012 at 10:00 am to Noon at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th Street. A private family service will be held by Pastor Buddy Turner at Oak Grove Cemetery in Lawton, MI where her Dad and Grandparents are also at rest. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Kalamazoo Gospel Mission, InterAct of Michigan and Kalamazoo Loaves and Fishes are where any memorial in Brenda's name would be made and be appreciated.
