Kalamazoo Loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister, Borgia passed away Sunday, January 13, 2008. She was born September 23, 1923 in Kalamazoo the daughter of John, Sr. and Anna Wolfert Cook and was a lifelong resident of Kalamazoo. She was a lifelong member of Grace Christian Reformed Church and was employed by Western Michigan University as an Administrative Assistant for 10 years. On November 21, 1946 she married James DeHaan, and he preceded her in death on November 17, 1977. She was also preceded by her parents; and a brother, Bruce G. Cook. Borgia is survived by her children, Timothy R. Sherri DeHaan of Portage and Sally Jo Thomas Triemstra of Kalamazoo; her grandchildren, Kelli DeHaan, Stephanie Ryan Formsma, Brooke Joel Camp, Carley Tim Bosker, Bryan Angie Triemstra, Kevin Abby Triemstra and Matthew Triemstra; great grandchildren, Nolan Camp, Davis Formsma and Lucas Triemstra; her brother, John, Jr. Gertrude Cook of Kalamazoo; her sister, Shirley Henry Jager of Kalamazoo; a sister-in-law, Grace Cook; several nieces and nephews. Borgia loved her Lord, her family, her church and the Christian Schools. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday at 10:00 AM in the Grace Christian Reformed Church, 1724 Whites Rd. with Rev. Dr. Joseph Brinks officiating. Interment will take place in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St. on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM.
