Bonnie Joan (Marr) Love

Bonnie Joan Love, age 87, of Kalamazoo passed away October 12, 2022. She was born July 6, 1935 in Plainwell, Michigan to the late Harlan and Edna (Nicholson) Marr.

Bonnie was energetic and loved to stay active. She enjoyed walking, swimming, and water aerobics, as well as golfing and bowling. She adored her family and cherished the time spent with them. Bonnie was a huge Detroit Tigers fan and enjoyed the game of Cribbage. Bonnie worked for Western Michigan University for decades and retired in 1997.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Harlene Randolph, Alana Geno, Sharon Austin, and Harlan Marr Jr.; as well as her beloved JJ Dog.

She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, James B. Love; children: Kandice (Henry) Ouding, Donna (David) McMullen, Lawrence (Elah) Tinkey, Steven Tinkey, Roxane Wright, James (Leslie) Love, and Marianne Love; grandchildren: Michael (Marta) Tinkey, Nichole Dean, Amber (LaShaun) Russell, Joshua Ouding, Ashley Ouding, Angela “Angelosis” (CW) Sellers, Austin McMullen, Charity Jones, Shyla Coker, Ronnie (Amanda) Tinkey, Bryan (Katie) Tinkey, Heather Wright, Heath Wright, Nate Love, Jake Love, Reagan Tummons, Allison Colwell, Devon (Sarah) Tummons, Sabrina Tummons, and Gabe Tummons; numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Beverly Reist, Nancy Thompson, and Douglas Marr; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will greet friends Monday, October 17 from 4-7:00pm at Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial and Cremation Services, 3926 S 9th St, Kalamazoo, MI 49009. Funeral services will take place Tuesday, October 18 at 10:30am at the funeral home. Interment will follow immediately at Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park North, with a luncheon following at the Kalamazoo Fraternal Order of Eagles 526, 1332 Branch St, Kalamazoo, MI 49001.
