Of Battle Creek Passed away Saturday morning, December 19, 2009 at Borgess Medical Center after a brief illness. Bonnie was born November 17, 1919 in Kalamazoo the daughter of Jesse and Edith Newton Cosgrove. She was a graduate of State High in 1937. On November 17, 1945 she was united in marriage to Robert C. Graves who preceded her in death in 1999. Bonnie worked for Sanders in Kalamazoo, General Motors Pontiac, and Gilmore's Department Store in the mall from 1983-1993. She enjoyed sewing, golfing, bowling, music and singing, and ballroom dancing. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and later in life enjoyed the company of her two cats, Smokey and Bandit who became part of her family. Bonnie had a great sense of humor, but when she raised an eyebrow towards you, you knew you were in trouble. Surviving are her 3 children, Mike Glenda Graves, Patrice Graves, Denise Graves; and a grandson, Trey Tomlinson. In accordance with her wishes there will be no visitation or services. Private interment will be in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Kalamazoo Humane Society.
