Age 49 Of Kalamazoo, Michigan Bobby passed away early Tuesday morning, September 22, 2009 at Borgess Medical Center. He was born July 26, 1960 in Denver, CO to Bobby Joe Sills and Anna Louise Gargus. Bobby spent his younger years living in California, and moved to Illinois in the mid 80's. He then moved to the Kalamazoo area in the late 80's to begin a new life and married the love of his life, Janice Heacock on June 23, 1990; they then started their family. Bobby was employed with Republic Waste for 20 years, where he was a dedicated employee and always willing to help anyone in need. He surely will be missed by many. Surviving are his wife of 19 years, Jan Sills; three sons, Joshua Sills, Matthew Sills, and Jacob Sills; granddaughter, Sabrinna Borst; his mother, Anna Louise Ballard of Mt. Olive, IL; 2 brothers, Roger Shirley Sills of Hutchinson, KS, and Scott Barbara Sills of Kalamazoo; 6 sisters, Joann James Morgan of Staunton, IL , Elaine Ahumrada of Lindsay, CA, Vickie Pete Mulder of Hope Mills, NC, Joellen Sills of Dallas, TX, Beth Eddie Shannon of Kalamazoo and Amy Leonel Hinojosa of Kalamazoo; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Preceding in death was his father, Bobby Joe Sills. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday at Lighthouse Baptist Church, 12220 Cressey Road, Plainwell, with Pastor Jerry L. Bowen, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in West Cooper Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 5-8 PM on Monday at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick Street. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be directed to an education fund for Bobby's children.
