CRAWFORD, Mr. Bob Of Kalamazoo Bob passed away Sunday evening, January 24, 2010 at Upjohn Nursing Home. He was born March 5, 1934 in Kalamazoo, the son of Francis and Pansy Brewer Crawford. He was a very active volunteer at The Salvation Army. Surviving are his two daughters, Robin Affhalter and Sharon Counterman both of Tampa, FL; three grandchildren, Bryan Miller, Angela Rogers, and Shaun Counterman; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Eileen French of Kalamazoo and Linda Nick Plank of Nappanee, IN; one brother, Allen "Skip" Carol Crawford of Climax; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents; three sisters, Eleanor "June" Newton, Vivian Smith, and Jean Roeper; and two brothers, Edward "Ted" Hughes and John Hughes. Memorial services for Bob will be at 3:00 PM on Saturday at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick Street, with Major Donald and Bruce Tekautz officiating. Memorial contributions may be directed to The Salvation Army Band.
