GALLUP, Blanche E.
of Kalamazoo Passed away June 24, 2011. She was born March 3, 1931 in Kalamazoo to the late Joe and Grace VanderWheel Schreuder. Blanche was united in marriage to Robert A. Gallup for nearly 60 loving years, on November 28, 1951. Robert survives. Blanche was a longtime member of Third Reformed Church now Centerpoint Church. She was also employed with Kal-Equip for many years. Her hobbies included china painting and quilting. Also surviving Blanche are her children, Elaine Craig Whetham of Kalamazoo, Robert Diane Gallup of Kalamazoo and Brenda John Wagoner of Warsaw, IN; 10 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Blanche was preceded in death by 7 sisters and 1 brother. Services will take place Wednesday, 11:00 o'clock at Centerpoint Church, 2345 N. 10th St. The family will greet friends on Monday evening from 6-8:00 o'clock and Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8:00 o'clock at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St. Interment will follow at Hill Patterson Cemetery in Oshtemo. Memorials may be directed to Heart Center of for Excellence, 1722 Shaffer, Ste #1, Kalamazoo, MI 49048 or to the American Cancer Society.
