LIVELY, Mr. Billy J.
of Kalamazoo, Michigan Died Thursday afternoon January 19, 2012. Billy was born March 10, 1936 in Decatur, Alabama a son of William and Ruth Macabee Lively. Years ago, he served honorably with the U.S. Air Force. He had been a Kalamazoo area resident most of his life and owned and operated the Band Box Restaurant for 19 years before retiring. Billy was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Gilmon. He is survived by 2 children, Mary Lively and Allen Penny Lively all of Kalamazoo; 4 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Shelby Clark and Janice Lively both of Joplin, MO; and several niece and nephews. Services will be held 12:00 Monday from the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Comstock Chapel, 6121 King Highway. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the chapel. Interment will be in Fort Custer National Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Disabled American Veterans.
