GLANCY, Mrs. Billie J.
Kalamazoo, MI Died Wednesday afternoon February 6, 2008. Billie was born April 15, 1931 in Kalamazoo, Michigan a daughter of Charles and Evelyn Mindeman West. She had been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident and was employed with Bronson Hospital for 18 years before retiring. She was also a member of the Oshtemo United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers, Jerome and Gene West; and a sister, Sharon Green. On July 30, 1960, she was united in marriage to Donald L. Glancy who survives. Also surviving, 2 children, Sue Paul Plant of Gas City, IN and Larry Glancy of Piqua, OH; 4 grandchildren, Jessica, Raven, Logan, and Coltin; 2 sisters-in-law, Carolyn LaVerne Bailey of Climax and Jean West of Portage; a brother-in-law, George Green of Kalamazoo; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. A memorial service will be held 12 noon Monday at the Oshtemo United Methodist Church, 6574 Stadium Drive. Friends may meet the family one hour prior to the service at the church. Private burial will take place at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the Michigan Heart Fund, Park Village Pines, or the Oshtemo United Methodist Church. Arrangements were made by the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St.
