Palumbo, Beverly H.
of Battle Creek, Michigan Went to be with her Lord on Thursday, July 12, 2012. Age 56 years. She was born on August 31, 1955, the daughter of the late Arthur O. Palumbo and Hazel I. Voss Pierce. Beverly graduated from Loy Norrix High School in 1973. She received her Bachelors Degree from Nazareth College in 1978. She worked for the Battle Creek Police Department from 1978 - 1990. She was the departments 2nd female uniformed officer and in 1986 became the departments first female Road Sergeant. Beverly received her Law Degree from Cooley Law School in 1989 and became an Assistant Prosecutor with the Kalamazoo County Prosecutors Office. She moved to the east side of the state and worked for Meijer in Lost and Prevention and then worked for Wayne County, before coming back home to her beloved Battle Creek. She recently made a reaffirmation of her faith and joined Second Christian Reformed Church as a full member and not simply as a "foster child" of the church, but as an "adopted child" in Christ. Surviving are her sister, Barbara Palumbo of Mattawan; her brother, Ronald Palumbo of Bangor; her special aunt, Jean Kenbeek of Kalamazoo; and several cousins and special friends. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 20, 2012 at Second Christian Reformed Church, 3015 Nichols Rd. Rev. Dr. Warren E. Lammers will officiate. Friends may visit with the family at the church from 10:00 a.m. until time of memorial service. Memorials may be made to the Thin Blue Line of Michigan, P.O.
