RUDEN, Betty Alice Of Portage Betty passed away Wednesday June 27, 2007. She was born June 13, 1926 in Charleroi, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Abraham and Anna Posner Levinson. She graduated from Drexel Institute of Technology, worked as a bookkeeper for Midas Muffler, but spent most of her time at home raising her family. Betty was an active member of the Congregation of Moses and held office with many of the Congregation?s organizations including Jewish Federation, B?Nai B?Rith, and Hadassah. She was also an avid bridge player. On February 11, 1951 she was united in marriage to Milton H. Ruden who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Andrew Janis Ruden of West Bloomfield, MI and Frederick Ruden of Kalamazoo; four grandchildren, Sarey, Noah, Zachary and Olivia. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Jeanne Goldfarb. Funeral Services will be held 10:30am Friday at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. with Rabbi Harvey Spivak officiating. Interment will follow in Jewish Riverside Cemetery. Memorials in Betty?s memory may be directed to the Congregation of Moses.
