Betty Jo Mollohan

Betty Jo Mollohan, age 92, passed away August 13, 2024, at Farleigh’s Senior Care Home in Battle Creek. She was born May 25, 1932, in Pikeville, Kentucky to the late Ben and Ida (Short) Watts.

Betty was united in marriage to Dewey Mollohan on February 11, 1950. She loved to garden—she adored flowers and had a huge garden full of vegetables that she enjoyed canning.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dewey Mollohan; son, Larry Mollohan; and siblings, Oeda, Midge, and Jack.

She is survived by her children, Danny (Donna) Mollohan and Karen ["Beaver" (Stan)] Campbell; daughter-in-law, Candy Mollohan; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and siblings, Benjamin, Bill, and Roger.

A private graveside will be held at Maple Grove Cemetery in Comstock. She will be laid to rest with her husband, Dewey.

We are incredibly grateful for the support and care from Debbie Williams and her staff at Farleigh’s Senior Care Home. The outpouring of love, compassion and patience they provided will never be forgotten. The catchphrase “fit as a fiddle” will be remembered by many. You will never know the appreciation we have and the comfort you brought into our lives. Simply saying thank you does not seem enough—God Bless you all.
