WEAVER, Bessie A. "Bet"
of Kalamazoo, Michigan Passed away September 24, 2009 at Tendercare of Westwood. She was born July 27, 1920 in Johnston County, NC, to the late William B. and Nina A. Sasser Brice, Sr. Bessie was united in marriage on November 16, 1946 to Vernon Weaver, who preceded her in death in 1998. Surviving Bessie are, her son, James R. Marie Riley of NC; step-daughters, Shirley A. VandenAkker of Vicksburg and Bonnie J. Poulsen of Kalamazoo; 5 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren, and; nieces and nephews. Funeral service will take place Saturday, 10:30, at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 East Centre Ave., Portage.
