Portage, Michigan Passed away March 5, 2008 at Park Place Living Center. Bert was born June 16, 1918 in South Haven, MI, the son of Bert A. and Jessie Shumway Dailey and had lived most of his life in the Portage area. Prior to his retirement, he farmed, served as Casco Township Supervisor and taught in the Kalamazoo Public Schools. Bert was a member of the Lord of Life Lutheran Church, KRPS and MARSP. He was preceded in death by his first wife Mildred in 1959 and by his second wife Dorothy in 2001 and by a son William E. Dailey in 1988. Surviving are a daughter Jeanette Jack of Mansfield, TX and 2 sons, Frank Elaine Dailey of Spokane, WA and John Barbara Dailey of Parker, CO and a step-son Donald White of Kalamazoo; 13 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Memorial contributions in memory of Bert may be made to the Lord of Life Lutheran Church, Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan or a charity of your choice.
