WIBORN, Bernard D.
Of Portage Passed away Wednesday morning, January 28, 2009. Bernard was born December 25, 1928 in Eaton Rapids, MI the son of William and Myrtie Johnson Wiborn. He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Prior to his retirement he was employed with the former James River Paper Company for 37 years. Bernard was an avid Detroit Tigers fan and enjoyed his dogs. On July 11, 1953 he was united in marriage to the former Margaret Reis who preceded him in death on April 16, 2007. He was also preceded in death by a brother, James Wiborn. Surviving are 3 sons, Michael "Bo" Terry Wiborn, Bill Jean Wiborn, Steve Cindy Wiborn; 1 grandson, Kyle Wiborn; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held 11:00 o'clock Saturday at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre with Rev. Jim Dyke officiating. Interment will follow in South Portage Cemetery. Friends may meet the family Friday from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the Portage Chapel. Memorials may be directed to the charity of your choice.
