MOULTON, Bernard G. "Bernie"
of Parchment, Michigan A generous heart; a friend to many; a devoted and wonderful father and husband, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2008. Bernard was born March 28, 1931, the son of Archie and Celia Hoshaw Moulton and had lived in the Kalamazoo area for the past 50 years. He was owner/operator of Applied Tank Technology for the past 18 years. Bernard was a member of the First Wesleyan Church of Battle Creek. He had an avid interest in race cars, both NASCAR and Indy Style Cars and in the 1950's helped build a land speed record car. He also enjoyed entertaining and spending time at the family condo at Lake Michigan. He was preceded in death by a daughter Shelley Knott, by his former wife Pat Clark and by 2 sisters, Virginia Burdick and Marilyn Merchant. Surviving is his wife of 34 years, Susan to whom he was married on June 15, 1974. Also surviving are a son Todd Jody Moulton of Galesburg; his former wife Jane Ervin of Kalamazoo and his adopted daughters, Rhonda Weirman and Sheri Roby and family; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Bernie's life will be celebrated on Friday, November 14th at 2:00 pm at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. with Pastor Philip Griffin officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday evening from 6-8 pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions in Bernie's memory may be made to Borgess Visiting Nurse and Hospice or the First Wesleyan Church of Battle Creek.
