of Bangor, Michigan Passed away suddenly at his home on Thursday, April 26, 2012. Age 71 years. He was born November 4, 1940 in Dale, West Virginia the son of the late Dexel and Mary Doak Stackpole. He served with the United States Army. He was married to Judith Dykstra Stackpole on January 23, 1962; she survives him. Bart worked for the Eaton Corporation for 25 years. He then worked for Metzgers Heating and Cooling for 17 years, retiring in 1999. He was a member of Second Christian Reformed Church. He enjoyed traveling, wood working and various projects. He also enjoyed volunteering for Second Impressions Upscale Thrift Store. Surviving besides his wife are two sons, Michael Jodie Stackpole of Schoolcraft and Jonathan Melanie Stackpole of Monterey, CA; five grandchildren, Matthew, Christopher, Halie, Hannah and Noah; three sisters, Ramona James Burns of Henderson, TN, Helen Damron of Pensacola, FL and Glenda Padgett of Kalamazoo; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded by a sister, Luella Brock. Friends may visit with the family from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St. Memorial service will follow at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Rev. Dr. Warren E. Lammers will officiate. Memorials may be given to Second Christian Reformed Church, Hospice at Home of South Haven or Kalamazoo Christian Schools.
