Kalamazoo Passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2013 in Kalamazoo. Barbara was born July 28, 1933 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of the late Peter and Gertrude Burgler Hybels. She was a lifelong resident of Kalamazoo and a member of Hope Reformed Church since 1965. On February 23, 1952, she married Paul E. Schuur, who preceded her in death on October 30, 1991. Barbara is survived by her children, Brenda L. Schuur of Kalamazoo and Danny Paul Jane Schuur of Paw Paw; 2 grandchildren, Jeannette M. Schuur and Danny Lisa Schuur, II; one great grandchild, Matthew M. Harris; brother, Charles R. Ruth Hybel; 3 nieces. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at 11:00 AM in the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St., with Pastor Kent Frens, officiating. Friends may meet with the family one hour prior to the memorial service. Burial at Grand Prairie Cemetery will take place at a later date. The family would like to express their gratitude to the exceptional staff at Rose Arbor Hospice who provided compassion, caring, and comfort in Barbara's final transition.
