Barbara Elaine Little, 84, of Allegan, passed away on July 10, 2024, at Allegan County Medical Care Community in Allegan, MI.

Barbara was born on October 16, 1939, to Wesley and Alice (Dykehouse) Knapp in Kalamazoo, MI. She graduated from Plainwell School with the class of 1957 and was crowned Miss Plainwell that same year. Barbara was a lifetime resident of Kalamazoo. On July 15, 1995, Barbara married Lester W. Little in Mason City, IL.

Barbara's life was marked by significant achievements and contributions. In the 1970s, she was an active member of the Jaycees, a testament to her engaging personality. Her sense of humor and love for fun endeared her to many. Barbara's love for sewing, bingo, and travel to Florida were well-known. Her vibrant spirit will be dearly missed. Barbabra was a self-proclaimed Queen of the nursing home, she was elected as residence president. She was strong enough to prove the doctors wrong and beat the odds. 

Barbara is survived by her four sons, Gary (Trish) Nyberg, Bob (Dawn) Nyberg, John (Patty) Nyberg, and Kevin (Cheryl) Nyberg; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Wesley B. Knapp; mother, Alice Knapp; husband, Lester; brothers, Ken, Jim, and Ralph; and granddaughter, Abbey Nyberg.

 A private graveside service to honor Barbara's life will be at Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, MI. 

 In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to the Allegan County Medical Care Community at 3265 122nd Avenue, Allegan, Michigan. Your contributions will help continue the care and support that Barbara received during her time there.
