of Portage Passed away February 17, 2012. She was born June 6, 1931 in Eaton Rapids, MI to the late Alfred and Thelma Dornan Jardot. Barbara was united in marriage to Maynard Higdon on July 31, 1955, who preceded her in death in February of 1989. She was a former member of Lake Center Bible Church in Portage, MI. Surviving Barbara are her children, Jeff Clare Higdon of Columbus, OH, Debbie Mickey and Lori Higdon both of Portage; 2 grandsons, David Mickey and Douglas Mickey; brothers, Donald Chuckie Jardot and Alfred Cathy Jardot, Jr.; brother-in-law, Bob Kline; and sister-in-law, Betty Jardot; and several nieces and nephews. Also preceding Barbara in death were a daughter, Suzanne Higdon 2-yrs old; son-in-law, John Mickey; sister, Maxine Kline; brothers, Bernard and Paul Jardot. Family will greet friends on Tuesday, February 21st from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 East Centre Ave. Funeral services will take place Wednesday, February 22nd, 1:00 o'clock at Prairie Baptist Church, 11210 East PQ Ave., Scotts, MI. Pastor Tom Harrison will officiate services. Private interment will take place at Deepdale Memorial Park, Lansing, MI.
