Barbara Helen Hall

Barbara Helen Hall, of Kalamazoo, passed away on October 15, 2018, at the Upjohn Care and Rehabilitation Center. She was 85. Barbara was born on August 22, 1933 in Kalamazoo, and was the daughter of Arba and Ida Scott. She enjoyed cooking, reading, and working word puzzles, and later in life, especially travelling with Walter. Barbara attended Plainwell High School, and after her marriage to Roger Hall, worked at Eaton Corporation, and later, Wm. C. Roney & Company. She retired from Roney & Company after 26 years of service. She was preceded in death by Roger, the father to their two daughters, second husband Richard Mueller, and by her special friend and companion of 16 years, Walter Byers. Family members who preceded her in death are her parents, brothers Edward, Kenneth, Raymond, Frederick, Robert, Gerald, Richard, and Phillip Scott, and sisters Mary Ellen Scott and Patricia Gusler. Surviving are daughters Pamela (Terry) O'Connor and Robin Hall; granddaughters Caitlin (John) Cracium, Cheri (Justin) Norton, and Breanna Booz; and great-grandchildren Claire & Connor Cracium, Jordan Parker, Hannah, Grace, and Rhys Norton. Also surviving are brother Norman (Lou Ann) Scott; sisters, Martha Dusseljee and Nancy (Richard) Bierema; as well as numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. Cremation has taken place in accordance with Barbara's wishes, and a Celebration of Life open house will take place on Saturday, October 20, 1-3pm at Martell's.
