BURCHELL, Barbara E.
of Kalamazoo Died June 1, 2010 at Laurels of Galesburg. She was born December 15, 1925 in Kalamazoo, MI to the late Leon and Eloyse Rogers Leonard. Barbara was a longtime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Kalamazoo. She received her Associates in Applied Science degree with honors from Kalamazoo Valley Community College. She then worked as a Registered Nurse for Bronson Hospital for many years. Surviving Barbara are; her children, Dolores Burchell of Kalamazoo, Jacqueline Richie of Durham, NC, Margaret Dan Thompson of Madison, WI, Donald Cynthia Kezele Burchell of Atlanta, Mary Bruce Rich of Bluegrass, IA, Barbara Mark Meihaus of Littleton, CO, and Thomas Susan Burchell of Smyrna, GA; 10 grandchildren; sisters, Betty Glen and Aleathe Storm; brother, William Leonard; and many nieces and nephews. Also preceding Barbara in death was a son, David Burchell. A Memorial Service will take place Tuesday, June 8th at 11:00 o'clock, St. Joseph Catholic Church, 936 Lake Street.
