BROWN, Mrs. Barbara J.
Kalamazoo, Michigan Died Wednesday evening April 2, 2008. Barbara was born October 14, 1932 in Dayton, Ohio a daughter of Samuel and Mary Fulton Stewart. She had been a Kalamazoo area resident most her life and was employed as a waitress for 53 years before retiring. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Cecil G. Brown in July 1972; and a brother, Glen E. Stewart. She is survived by 2 children, Karla Curtis of Kalamazoo and Gregory Stewart of Climax; 11 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Phyllis Loren Eby of Elkhart, IN and Shirley Richard Newell of Broomfield Colorado; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A memorial service will be held 1 o'clock Monday from the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. Friends may meet the family one hour prior to the service at the chapel.
