Barbara A. Ballinger

Barbara A. Ballinger, age 85 of Kalamazoo, died on January 17, 2025. She was born on December 30, 1939, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, the daughter of Anthony and Veva (Race) Boguta. She was a 1957 graduate of Schoolcraft High School. On August 16, 1957, she married Richard E. Ballinger. Richard was a pastor the first years of their marriage and she enjoyed her role in supporting the church. She was a member of the Kalamazoo First Assembly of God Church. Barbara nannied for several local families over the years and was a wonderful caregiver. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. Her family includes her son Steven (Michelle) Ballinger; her grandchildren: Kristy Halm, Kenneth Ballinger, Autumn Warwick, Liberty Warwick, Brice Finley, Kyrstin Finley, and Nathan Finley; her great-grandchildren: Mariah, Zach, Madison, Nyaira, Isaiah, Lucas, Nicholas, Zachary, Zoe, Tatum, and Jake; her sister, Janet Losse; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Richard and her son Jeffery Ballinger. 

Friends may visit with his family on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, from 12:00-2:00 PM at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Location, 3926 S. 9th Street Kalamazoo. A private burial will be held with burial at Schoolcraft Cemetery.
