DYKEHOUSE, B. Louise
Of Kalamazoo, MI Went to be with her Lord on December 24, 2008. Louise was born July 25, 1922 in Lawrence, MI, the daughter of Dee and Ruby Jennings Allen and had lived in the Kalamazoo area for most of her life. She was self employed as owner/operator of the Victory Beauty Shop on Bryant St. for many years. Louise was a member of the Parchment Christian Reformed Church. She had a lifelong love for any kind of crafts and enjoyed knitting and crocheting for friends and family and was an excellent seamstress. She was preceded in death by her husband Andrew J. Dykehouse in 1986, by a daughter Joan K. Dykehouse in 1952 and by a brother Duane Allen and 3 sisters, May Damaske, Francis Meninga and Ruth Sherman. Surviving are a daughter Cindy Allan Rozeveld of Otsego and a son James Dykehouse of Kalamazoo; 3 grandchildren, Joan Rozeveld of Kalamazoo, Jeff Brenda Rozeveld of Kalamazoo and Greg Beth Rozeveld of Mattawan; 6 great-granddaughters, Megan, Hannah, Kate, Hope, Jill and Lily; 2 brothers in law, Otto Meninga and Ben Carolyn Sherman, all of Kalamazoo; several nieces and nephews and a special friend Linda Carlton of Galesburg. Services will be held at 11:00 o'clock Saturday at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St. 343-1508. Visitation on Friday from 4-7 pm at the funeral home. Private interment in Ft. Custer National Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Louise's memory may be made to the Alamo Nursing Home Activities Fund or the Kalamazoo Gospel Mission.
