Audrey Ann Merrill

Audrey Ann Merrill, age 89, of Portage passed away October 22, 2024. She was born February 9, 1935, in Kalamazoo to the late Lewis and Mildred (Van Houten) Bush.

Audrey grew up roller skating and spent much of her free time doing so. She was united in marriage to William “Jim” Merrill on November 2, 1951. She loved traveling with her husband to go camping in the wintertime and visits to the Grand Ole Opry.

Audrey was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William “Jim” Merrill; son, David Merrill; brother, Alan Bush; and sisters, Dorothy Weed and Barbara Gruizinga.

She is survived by her three daughters, Deborah Merrill of AZ, Diane Merrill of FL, and Delena Merrill of Portage; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation will take place, and she will be laid to rest with her husband at Ft. Custer National Cemetery.
