HENSELL, Arthur C. ?Art?
Of Kalamazoo Passed away Sunday morning, November 11, 2007. Art was born March 28, 1928 in Kalamazoo the son of Clyde and Letha Stafford Hensell. He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army in the 101st Airborne during World War II. He spent time in Japan and was a paratrooper from 1946-1947. Prior to his retirement worked for Sutherland/James River Paper for 42 years. He was preceded in death by his wife Arlene in 1992; and his son Stephen R. Hensell. In 1994 he was united in marriage to the former Ann King who survives. Also surviving are his children, Mary Anna Marshell Bannen, Andrew Hensell, William Hensell; 4 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Marjorie Warden. Cremation has taken place and private family interment will be held at a later date in Ft. Custer National Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
