HAMBLEY, Arthur E.
Vicksburg Passed away suddenly, on Sunday, May 2, 2010. Arthur Edward Hambley was born June 19, 1942 in Hammond, IN to Ruth Sharp Hambley and George Hambley. He graduated from South Haven High School and Western Michigan University and taught math and physics for one year. He then spent 13 years in the car business and opened Cloverleaf RV in Plainwell in 1979, now located in Schoolcraft. He enjoyed motorcycles, tractors, fast cars, snow mobiles, boats and kite flying. Art and his family also enjoyed living on Indian Lake for many years. His life was devoted to his family. He is survived by his wife, Judy Fargo Hambley; their 4 daughters, Jill, husband John Johnson, Lisa, husband Chris Harbour, Kara, husband Clark Byrum, Jr. and Rene' and husband Joseph Schlindwein; grandchildren, Ryan, Austin and Loren Johnson, Alexis, Lindsay and Grace Harbour, Aleyna, Conrad and Lylah Byrum, Jonah and Jacob Schlindwein; mother-in-law, Irma Fargo, brother-in-law, Dwight and wife Roxie Fargo; sisters-in-law, Shirley Hambley and Barbara Hambley; brothers, George "Bud" Hambley and Russell and wife Sarah Hambley; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Harold and Del Hambley and his sister and brother-in-law, Doris and Don Cutler. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre Ave. with Pastor John Douma, of the Second Byron Christian Reformed Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Allegan, MI. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the NRA or the Jack Van Impe Ministries. Please visit
