Arthur Wayne 'Art' Duffin

DUFFIN, Arthur Wayne "Art"
of Portage, Michigan Went to be with his Lord Monday morning, October 8, 2012 at the age of 87. Arthur was born July 1, 1925 in Hoopston, IL and was the only son of Lloyd and Edith Erickson Duffin. Arthur was an honored veteran of the U.S. Army, 9th Infantry Regiment, serving during World War II. On November 30, 1945, he was united in marriage to his sweetheart, the former Rosella Anna Pond. Arthur was employed by Swift-Eckrich of Kalamazoo until his retirement. He was a member of the American Legion Post #207, VFW Post 5855 and also a member of Milwood Christian Reformed Church. Surviving are his wife of 66 years, Rosella Dolly Anna Duffin; their three children, William Katherine-deceased of Mt. Pleasant, MI, Sharon David Meadows of Kalamazoo, MI and Robert Marcia of Scotts, MI; 14 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild. Family will greet friends on Thursday, October 11th from 2-4 and 6-8 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 East Centre Ave. Funeral service will take place on Friday, October 12th, 10:30 at Milwood Christian Reformed Church, 3306 Lovers Ln., Kalamazoo, MI 49001 with the Rev. Loren Kotman officiating. A private committal service will take place at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to; Rose Arbor Hospice of SW MI Kalamazoo, MI and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
